Historical Perspective
Introduction
Our College situated in the quiet village of Kanuketiya, belonging to the electorate of Nikaweratiya in the district of Kurunegala of the North western province of Sri Lanka humbly stands Zaid Bin Sabith Arabic College, 500 meters away from the Kanuketiya junction about 575 Muslim families live in the rural village.
Establishment
Zaid Bin Sabith Arabic College was first started on 27th of November 1996 under the name of Kashiful Uloom Arabic College in the premises of Abukkagama Jumuah Masjid.
The long felt need of the Ulama and the people of the to create Huffaz and Ulama was established under the direction and guidance of the Founder President the Honourable Ash-Shaikh S.M. Haja Muhyadeen Hazrath. As a start a temporary legislative board was appointed and a Hifl section was started with Ash-Shaikh Haleelur Rahman of Anuradhapura as Usthad and 21 students. A major portion of the financial needs of the College was attanded to by the people of the village itself. At the same time several wealthy brothers from other towns and villages too took a share in the growth of the College.
Growth
The need of the permanent building as felt from the start for this College
which was running with several short comings, in the Masjid.
Alhamdhu Lillah in the wake of this need Marhoom Al-Haj U.L. Hamid
(May Allah's mercy upon him) of the village donated 45 perches out of his own
land in Kanuketiya for the building of the College. Subsequently, the Road to
this land was donated by Janab A.L. Abbas and Janab U.M.R. Sulaiman
Lebbe (Retired Principal) for the erection of the new building.
The foundation stone was laid by Ash-Shaikh M.K.Abdur Rahman Bahji, Principal (Jamiah In'amil Hasan Arabic College, Atulugama.) and V.B.K. Hajiar of Colombo. At this juncture, together with the legislative board a special board was also appointed to attend to the building procedures on 10th of January 2001, The Shareeah section started with 09 students. 03 Usthads and Ash-Shaikh S.A.M. Sufiyan (Al-In'ami) as the Principal.
In the year2002 the College was shifted to the new building and registered under the Department of Muslim Cultural Affairs. In the year 2004 the name of the College changed to Zaid Bin Sabith Arabic College A major part of the expenses for the building was donated by Ash-Shaikh Zamil of Saudi Arabia, while several well-wishers also co-operated.

அறிமுகம்
இலங்கை வடமேல் மாகாணத்தின் குருநாகல் மாவட்டத்தில், நிகவெரடிய தேர்தல் தொகுதியில் சுமாராக 575 முஸ்லிம் குடும்பங்கள் அமைதியாக வாழ்ந்து வருகின்ற கனுக்கெட்டிய எனும் கிராமத்தின் சந்தியிலிருந்து 500 மீற்றர்கள் தொலைவில் ஸைத் பின் சாபித் அரபுக் கல்லூரி அமையப்பெற்றுள்ளது.
தோற்றம்
ஸைத் பின் சாபித் அரபுக் கல்லூரி அபுக்காகம ஜுமுஆப் பள்ளிவாசலில் காஷிபுல் உலூம் அரபுக் கல்லூரி என்ற பெயரில் 1996ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் மாதம் 27ம் திகதி ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது.
இக்கல்லூரி ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டதன் மூலம் உலமாக்களையும் ஹாபிள்களையும் உருவாக்க வேண்டும் என்ற உலமாக்களினதும் எமது மக்களினதும் நீண்ட நாள் கனவுக்கான அடிக்கல் நாட்டப்பட்டதுடன், இதன் ஸ்தாபகரான அஷ்-ஷெய்க் எஸ். எம். ஹாஜா முஹ்யத்தீன் அவர்கள் தலைவராகச் செயற்பட்டார்கள். ஆரம்ப கட்டமாக தற்காலிக நிர்வாகக் குழுவொன்று நியமிக்கப்பட்டதோடு, அநுராதபுரத்தைச் சேர்ந்த அல் -ஹாபிள் ஹலீலுர் ரஹ்மான் அவர்களை உஸ்தாதாகக் கொண்டு இப்பிரதேசத்தைச் சேர்ந்த 21 மாணவர்கள் ஹிப்ளுப்பிரிவில் சேர்க்கப்பட்டனர். கல்லூரியின் பொருளாதாரத் தேவைகளில் பெரும் பகுதியை ஊர் மக்களே பொறுப்பேற்றுக் கொண்டதுடன், வெளியூர் தனவந்தர்களும் கல்லூரியின் வளர்ச்சிப்படிக்கு அத்திவாரமிட்டனர்.

பல்வேறு குறைபாடுகளுடன் ஜுமுஆ மஸ்ஜிதில் இயங்கிவந்த கல்லூரிக்கு நிரந்தர கட்டடத்தின் தேவை
உணரப்பட்டே வந்தது. அவ்வேளை, எமதூரைச் சேர்ந்த மர்ஹூம் அல்-ஹாஜ் யூ. எல். ஹாமித்
அவர்கள் கனுக்கெட்டிய பகுதியில் தனது சொந்தக் காணியில் 45 பேர்ச்சஸ்களை வக்ஃபு செய்து கல்லூரியின்
நிரந்தர கட்டடத்திற்கு வழியமைத்த போது, அக்காணியில் புதிய கட்டடம் நிர்மாணிப்பதற்கான முயற்சிகள்
துரிதமாக மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டன.
அடுளுகம ஜாமிஆ இன்ஆமில் ஹஸன் அரபுக் கல்லூரியின் அதிபர் அஷ்-ஷெய்க் எம். கே. அப்துர் ரஹ்மான் (பஹ்ஜி), வீ.பீ.கே. ஹாஜியார் ஆகியோரால் புதிய கட்டடத்திற்கான அடிக்கல்லும் நாட்டப்பட்டது. கட்டடப்பணிகளை சிறப்புற செய்து முடிப்பதற்காக நிர்வாகத்துடன் இணைந்த கட்டடக் குழுவும் நியமிக்கப்பட்டது. 2001 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி மாதம் 10 ஆம் திகதி மூன்று உஸ்தாத்களையும் ஒன்பது மாணவர்களையும் கொண்டு ஷரீஆக் கற்கைநெறி ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டதுடன், அஷ்-ஷெய்க் எஸ்.ஏ.எம். சுபியான் அல்-இன்ஆமி அவர்கள் கல்லூரியின் அதிபராகக் கடமைப்பொறுப்பையும் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார்கள்.
அரபு நாட்டைச் சேர்ந்த அஷ்-ஷெய்க் ஸாமில் அவர்களால் பெரும் நிதி ஒதுக்கீடு செய்யப்பட்டு நிர்மாணிக்கப்பட்ட புதிய கட்டடத்துக்கு 2002 ஆம் ஆண்டு இடமாற்றம் செய்யப்பட்ட கல்லூரி, 2004 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஸைத் பின் சாபித் அரபுக் கல்லூரி என்பதாக பெயர் மாற்றம் செய்யப்பட்டதோடு, முஸ்லிம் சமய பண்பாட்டலுவல்கள் திணைக்களத்தில் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டு மிகச் சிறப்பாக இயங்கி வருகின்றது.
